Spa Shiki has made a commitment to the level of professionalism and qualifications in our spa environment. Every technician or therapist is certified or licensed by law in the state of Missouri. Our training is year-round, and Spa Shiki therapists receive national CEUs. Spa Shiki is also a member of the International Spa Association (ISPA).
Spa Shiki is committed to education. Our therapists are encouraged to participate in classes and training to further their understanding of our profession, and ensure we are up to date with the most recent trends. Spa Shiki offers training to all staff members, including our front desk and concierge associates.

The spa is an adult environment where our guests are 18 years of age or older. We welcome our younger guests to utilize our salon services. Click here for manicure and pedicure offerings, and click here for hair services.

You may not want to wear jewelry during your spa service; therefore, we suggest that you leave all valuables securely locked in your hotel room.

We request that you disclose any medical condition and/or prescription medication you are taking as some services may be contra-indicated. In addition, please discuss any concerns with your therapist and esthetician. Pregnant women and individuals with varicose veins should avoid heat treatments.

You may request a male or female therapist when you schedule your treatments; however, we regret that we cannot guarantee this preference. All of our therapists are highly skilled professionals and well-trained in draping techniques to provide the utmost comfort for your spa experience. Our ability to schedule you with either allows us to provide you the widest range of appointment availability.

Personal services are limited; please make your appointments by calling 573-365-8108 or 800-THE-LAKE prior to your arrival at the resort. We suggest making reservations one to two weeks in advance.

Our receptionists are trained to answer questions and help you get the most out of your spa visit. Please feel free to call with questions or for any guidance on what therapies or treatments will best fulfill your needs.

What if I am late or have to cancel or change my appointment?2020-04-21T15:44:24+00:00

As a courtesy to all guests, please be prompt for your appointment. If you are late, we will try to accommodate you but cannot promise your full service time. Cancellations or changes require 24-hour advance notice. Cancellations or changes within six hours of the scheduled treatment and “no-shows” will be charged full value. Same-day appointments are non-cancelable and charged at full value.

Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your appointment for any services. This will allow you time to check in, receive your locker and prepare for your service. You will be welcomed by a spa receptionist. If you are receiving spa services, you will be led to the women’s or men’s locker room where you will change into a robe and slippers. Your spa therapist will then meet you in the spa’s welcoming area.

If you feel comfortable doing so, most guests undress completely for body treatments and massages. All Spa Shiki therapists are trained to follow a draping policy that ensures the comfort and safety of all guests. Only the specific area of the body being worked on will be exposed.

Spa Shiki provides almost every amenity you would need to get ready after your spa treatments. Showers are provided, complete with shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Each locker room has a vanity area, complete with hair dryers and styling products. The ladies vanity area has flat irons and curling irons, as well.

Spa Shiki strives to maintain a quiet sanctuary where guests can have a respite from stress and ‘real life’ for a space in time. We are a serene environment where the senses take over. Aromatherapy, soft music, a fireplace, healthy cuisine, alkaline lemon water, salt purified co-ed whirlpool (don’t forget your swim wear) and more awaits. We do not encourage cell phone use inside the spa, but we do offer a designated area if it is a must. We hope you will arrive at least 30 minutes early, but please come as early as you can to enjoy our abundance of hydrotherapy and quiet space, and relax in a chaise lounge while enjoying a cup of our signature Formosa Oolong tea. We do provide a robe and slippers, and hope you bring your swim wear so that you can be sure to enjoy or mineral whirlpool, infrared sauna, and eucalyptus infused steam room in each the ladies and gentleman’s locker rooms. We even provide a cute bag for your wet swim wear

Spa Shiki accepts the following forms of payment: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, check, money order, cash, Spa Shiki and Lodge of Four Seasons gift cards. Effective January 2015, we no longer accept Spa Finder gift cards.

How much should I tip my therapist?2023-01-28T15:16:26+00:00

A 20 percent service charge and applicable taxes will be automatically added to all services and packages and included in your bill. Your therapist or technician will receive 17 percent; the remaining 3 percent goes to support staff.

Guests receiving spa treatments may enjoy use of spa facilities on the day of their treatment. Guests receiving salon treatments (manicures, pedicures, hair coloring and styling, hair removal) can purchase an amenity pass at a discounted rate.   Spa facilities include the indoor/outdoor swimming pool, men’s and women’s steam and infrared sauna, a co-ed mineral whirlpool, fitness facility and sanctuary lounge. Locker, robe, slippers and personal amenities are included, and complimentary fruit and hot teas are available. A swimsuit is required for the co-ed mineral whirlpool and indoor/outdoor pool.
Guests receiving spa services may enjoy the facilities on the day of their treatment. Resort guests not receiving a treatment may enjoy all spa facilities for a nominal $45 daily fee during weekdays and $60 on weekends, pending facility availability.

Spa Shiki is open 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays. Summer hours may change slightly.
