The Mission Continues to Benefit from Lake of the Ozarks Spa Fundraiser
LAKE OZARK — Guests at Spa Shiki, a world-class resort spa at the Lake of the Ozark’s The Lodge of Four Seasons, will find a patriotic spa feature for the upcoming Independence Day holiday — through red, white and blue-themed facial enhancements and by giving back to U.S. military veterans who are adjusting to life at home.
Through the month of July, a portion of all sales of three red, white and blue-themed facial enhancements — Blueberry Detox Peel, Strawberry and Rhubarb Exfoliant and LED light therapy — will go to support The Mission Continues, a national, nonprofit organization based in St. Louis that empowers veterans to find a purpose through community impact.
With the conviction that veterans are valuable assets, The Mission Continues organizes veterans in their hometowns, with goals to create better transitions from military service life to home and to build stronger communities.
Spa Shiki’s red, white, and blue facial enhancements may be added on to any facial.
Great for refining and clarifying, the Blueberry Detox Peel ($25) encourages younger-looking skin by minimizing and clearing clogged pores. Key ingredients include: blueberry, raspberry and blackberry juice, which are high in vitamins B, C and K and help tighten pores and fight free radicals; paprika, which increases circulation to deliver more nutrients to the tissues; lactic acid, known to accelerate the removal of dead skin and the growth of new cells; and grape extract, filled with antioxidants that help fight free radicals and prevent hyper pigmentation.
Spa Shiki’s Strawberry and Rhubarb Exfoliant with Lime-Stimulating Mask ($35) is a facial add-on known for its quick results. When combined with water, the oil-absorbing rice powder, along with lactic and salicylic acids, softens the skin and removes dead skin cells, while the antioxidant-rich strawberries and rhubarb cleanse and tighten pores.
The LED Light Treatment ($50) uses blue and red LED light therapy to help diminish fine lines and wrinkles (red light therapy), firm and tone skin, reduce pore size, control acne and blemishes (blue light acne therapy) and restore skin’s youthful appearance.
During the summer months, Spa Shiki reminds guests of the importance of sunscreen, particularly after facial treatments, to protect skin.
In keeping with Spa Shiki’s commitment to health, wellness and environmental protection, both the Blueberry Detox Peel and Strawberry and Rhubarb Exfoliant are from Eminence Organics, known for its natural, organic, chemical-free products and biodynamic ingredients, farmed in the most natural way possible.
